Automated Upright Microscopes

Overview

These Automated Upright Microscopes combine Zaber^™’s robust motion control ecosystem with industry-leading objective optics. The microscopes consist of a 100 x 120 mm travel XY stage, motorized objective turret and Z-focus movement, a 3-channel light illuminator, and a programmable 3-axis joystick.

Each microscope is fully compatible with μManager Open-Source Microscopy Software and Zaber™’s extensive Motion Library to completely automate the imaging experience. This microscopy system is inherently modular, and with all motorized components daisy-chain compatible with Zaber™’s complete motion product line-up. This ensures that the system is flexible and future proof, as software and hardware updates can continue to meet your demanding applications far beyond a project lifecycle.

Each Automated Upright Microscope is compatible with either Edmund Optics^® TECHSPEC^® 120i, Nikon CFI60, or Olympus objectives. Users can select their ideal objective manufacturer, and the microscope will be delivered preconfigured for compatibility with those optics. Find all of our compatible objectives here. Setup

1. Assemble the microscope, using the easy-to-follow assembly instructions.
2. Connect the joystick (X-JOY3) to the microscope and power up your system.
3. Connect the joystick to the Microscope's controller (X-MCC2) and power up your system.
4. Control all motorized and LED functions through µManager open source software or using the programmable joystick.
