Edmund Optics Chairman of the Board and CEO Marisa Edmund Appointed to Optica’s Board of Directors

Edmund Optics^®, a leading global provider of optical and imaging technology solutions, is pleased to announce that its Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer, Marisa (Mari) Edmund, has been appointed as a Director at Large for Optica for the 2026–2028 term.

Optica, formerly The Optical Society of America (OSA), is a well-known global association advancing optics and photonics. Its Board of Directors is composed of distinguished leaders from academia, industry, and research who guide the organization’s strategic direction and community impact.

Mari’s appointment is a testament to her strategic vision, influence, and dedication to the advancement of optical science and technology. As a third-generation family owner and executive at Edmund Optics, she has dedicated more than 27 years to driving innovation, growth, and collaboration within the global optics and photonics community.

Under her leadership, Edmund Optics continues to strengthen its global presence, expand technological capabilities, and foster a culture of excellence and innovation across its worldwide teams.

She holds a BSBA from Georgetown University and an MBA from Stockton College.
